Develop your leadership with purpose, empathy and courage. ALIGHT+ brings together flexible online learning, practical application and live support to help you strengthen your impact while supporting your own wellbeing and the people you lead.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
-
ALIGHT+ is a primarily virtual leadership development programme that combines self-paced online learning with virtual Q&A, two live group coaching sessions and ongoing support throughout the programme.
Grounded in research and the ALIGHT Positive Leadership framework, it helps you explore how you lead, develop practical habits and apply your learning to real situations at work.
It is an opportunity to make space for your own development while strengthening the way you support others.
-
ALIGHT+ is designed for aspiring and existing senior leaders, senior managers and directors, including people with an established track record of impact.
It is particularly relevant if you want to navigate change more confidently, strengthen your people leadership, develop adaptability and resilience, or bring greater meaning and purpose to your work.
You can enrol as a private individual or participate through your organisation.
-
The programme includes eight modules: a welcome, the six ALIGHT areas and final reflections.
The six core areas are:
Abundance: creating engagement.
Limberness: developing flexibility of thought.
Inspiration: building hope and confidence.
Grand Design: connecting with values, purpose and meaning.
Health: supporting sustainability.
Tribe: strengthening connection, support and constructive challenge.
Guided personal leadership assessment and development planning help you connect these ideas with your own priorities.
YOUR LEARNING EXPERIENCE
-
Your place includes:
Eight self-paced online modules.
Practical tools, reflective exercises and cross-sector case studies.
Guided personal leadership assessment and development planning.
Virtual Q&A.
Two live group coaching sessions.
Opportunities for peer learning, insight and accountability.
Ongoing support throughout the programme.
The group coaching sessions are facilitated by a published, award-winning Chartered Psychologist with experience working at executive level across sectors.
-
The learning journey recommends approximately 2.5 hours per module, with an average completion timeframe of 8–12 weeks.
Across eight modules, that gives you a useful planning guide of around 20 hours of module learning. You should also allow diary space for live participation and applying what you learn at work.
Participants are asked to engage regularly and commit to completing within 12 weeks, with options to extend where needed.
-
The programme has been designed with busy leadership roles in mind. Self-paced modules give you flexibility over when you undertake your independent learning.
A helpful approach is to protect a regular learning slot and bring a current work challenge into your reflections. This helps your development stay connected to the leadership demands already in front of you.
The live elements require some advance planning, so contact us to discuss session arrangements before enrolling if your availability is restricted.
-
You will have space to learn independently, alongside support and interaction.
Virtual Q&A gives you opportunities to raise questions, while the two live group coaching sessions create space for reflection, shared learning and deeper insight. Peer learning can also help you consider different perspectives and maintain momentum.
-
The tools and exercises are linked to real leadership situations, so you can begin applying your learning as you progress.
You might focus on how you respond under pressure, create engagement, approach a challenging relationship or bring greater clarity to your team’s purpose. The aim is to develop practical habits, emotional regulation and relational skills that support your leadership at work.
Your own development goals will help you decide where to focus first.
-
ALIGHT+ is designed to be relevant to experienced leaders, including senior managers and directors.
Experience gives you valuable material to reflect on. The programme offers a structured opportunity to examine familiar patterns, broaden your perspective and consider how your approach needs to evolve as your responsibilities change.
You do not need to be struggling to benefit. Wanting to lead with greater intention is a worthwhile starting point.

Consider leaders who have a meaningful development goal, are willing to reflect on their approach and will have opportunities to apply their learning.
The programme is relevant to aspiring and existing senior leaders, senior managers and directors. It may be particularly useful for colleagues navigating change, taking on broader responsibilities or seeking to strengthen their impact through others.
Involving participants in the decision helps create commitment from the outset.
-
Yes. At CLPL we have been privileged to work on and consult on a number of emerging leader programmes including with the post graduate teacher training organisation Teach First, the London Business School, City University and PwC consulting services.
In developing our programme we have differentiated the learning journey for tiered levels of leadership and functional roles using learning avatars including:
o Priya the emerging leader
o Daniel the Mid Manager leader
o Sarah the Senior Leader
o James the L&D professional
We have deeply considered through psychologically profiling of these leaders their prior experience, motivation for learning and engagement strategies. This is also alongside considering differentiated learning needs, style and neurodivergence (we are psychologists afterall (!). This means that throughout the learning journey content is digestible and practical, and applicable to these leadership levels.
There are minimum requirements that all can achieve and users can go as deep in their learning as they wish, and the reflection enables participants to apply their learning to their level of leadership or responsibility level to apply and embed the learning.
